Hi,

I have one particular feed where we have an agreement with the newspaper website where we can display their except, headline and thumbnail on our page and when the visitor clicks to read it, the story opens up in a new tab on the newspaper’s web site.  Therefore, we don’t want to create posts on our own Wordpress site, save images or extract text.  We just want to display the thumbnails/headlines nicely and the link off into a new tab to the hosting web site.

Can CyberSEO do this in an elegant way?  I know there are lots of widgets out available to do this and most of them suck!

Maybe this defeats the purpose of CyberSEO with it’s advanced functionality but for this one feed, it’s all we need.

Thanks, Stephen.

Just do not extract the full text of the article, just use the snippet and add a link to the source below the snippet. Everything else – how the news excerpts, thumbnails and links will look on your site depends on the WP theme you choose.

If you don’t want to create your own pages for these news excerpts, you can simply enable this option, so the post excerpts will be linked to the actual pages on the original news site: Login to see this link

Link to Source is a general setting so it will affect all of the feeds.  What I need to do is just have one of the feeds linking to the source and all other using full functionality creating local posts and extracting text.  Is there a way to have just one feed linking to source?

No, not with CyberSEO Pro. The plugin has a different purpose – it’s made to generate complete WordPress posts (the articles).
