Hi,

is there a way to add updated and new AI endpoints such as "gpt-5-mini" or "gpt-5-nano" to the Quick-select menu for AI Engine?

I am aware of the short code option on "Post Templates", but much prefer the easy to use drop down menu, tbh.

Simply typing in "openai-gpt-5-mini" as the name of the AI engine doesn't return results.

Thanks!

The "Quick Select" drop-down menu only offers examples of model IDs. You should enter the necessary model ID manually.

If "openai-gpt-5-mini" does not return a result, check your Syndicator log. It should indicate the cause of the problem.

Below is an example of what you should see in the log when entering "openai-gpt-5-mini" in the "AI engine" field on the "AI article generation" tab:

Here is the generated result: "I am ChatGPT, a large language model developed by OpenAI."

this is what we entered: openai-gpt-5-mini

Here's the message from the log.

The plugin seems hard-coded to the legacy /v1/completions endpoint, which only supports old completion models; modern GPT-4/5 models (e.g. gpt-5-mini) are chat/response models and are therefore incompatible.

How to proceed?

Yes, I see the problem. You are using CyberSEO Pro version 12.000, while compatibility with OpenAI GPT 5.1 was only added in version 12.048: https://www.cyberseo.net/changelog/

You can use this form to upgrade your plugin to the current version and receive new versions throughout the year: https://www.cyberseo.net/upgrade/#renew

Done, now the GPT-5 options are indeed avaiable. Thx.

Unfortunately, OpenAI returns another error message. Any idea what the issue might be?

This error message means that the OpenAI server did not return a result or an error code. This appears to be a failure on OpenAI's side.

It is essential that you provide the entire log because the situation is not clear from the quoted part.
