Hi,
I just installed the CyberSyn plugin and tried the full text extractor url, but it gives an error stating “no feed is found”. When I look it up on the browser, it says “No URL supplied” Can you help me with this and tell me what step I’m missing, please?
Thanks!
What do you mean on “tried”? This URL is not for you. It’s for the plugin only.
If you want to use the full text extractor feature, just add your RSS feed and enable the “Extract full articles” check box. That’s all you need to do.
Sorry for using the wrong choice of word. When I mentioned “tried” I meant to say I attempted to add the RSS feed with the full text extractor url and got the error message:
Sorry, but now I don’t understand what you are taring to do. This URL is not a feed at all. It’s the URL of full text extractor script. How end where you are trying to add it?
I would like to add an RSS Feed to my blog site. I did a search under the new plugins in Wordpress and your CyberSyn plugin were one of the many plugins that popped up. I followed the instructions to install and attempted to add the full text extractor url in the RSS feed widget (I thought that was what I was suppose to do) and then when I got the error message I mentioned to you in the prior post. Can you help me with this, please? What am I suppose to do with the Full text extractor url? And should I be looking for a completely different plugin instead of the CyberSyn plugin?
Thanks!
The CyberSyn plugin is not intended to “add the full text extractor url in the RSS feed widget”. Please read the plugin’s description. CyberSyn is an RSS feed aggregator. It’s a stand-alone plugin which is not intended to be used with widgets or anything else.
You just install it. Go to “CyberSyn -> RSS/Atom Syndicator“. Find the “New Feed URL:” text field there and copy/paste your RSS feed URL there (try this one for example: http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/w…..ca/rss.xml) now click “Syndicate“. See the feed settings menu? Ok. Find the “Extract full articles” check box and enable it. Scroll the page down and click “Syndicate This Feed“. Now the feed is added to CyberSyn. Enable the check box on the left of its name and click “Pull selected feeds now!“. Voilà, a new full text post has been added to your blog!
Hope my step-by-step tutorial above will be informative enough.
