Can an xml tag value create a media custom field and enter a value?

You can answer for anyone that wants to know that or not.

Yes, course it can. Go to the feed settings and add something this into the "Custom fields" box:

tag_name->custimfield_name

where the "tag_name" is an XML tag and the "custimfield_name" the name of the custom field you want this tag to be stored in. You'll find more info about it here: http://www.cyberseo.net/xml-syndicator/

I can get it to add to a regular custom field, but I can't get it to add to the "media" custom field.

I have

tour->yessir

$post['tour'] = $post['custom_fields']['yessir'];
