Hello,

First of all, amazing pluginclap! It does exactly what I need for a project I am working on.

When I was syndicating from multiple RSS feed pages from the same website, the website updated which ended up giving me 60 duplicate posts.

I then removed them using the duplicates function but the remaining original post image got deleted.

Can we have a feature not to delete the image when removing the duplicate post?

Otherwise; the only thing I can think of right now to prevent this happening in the future is to backup the images folder prior to running the duplicate posts process and then copy it back in to the folder after I am finished.

Having the option to retain the original picture on the post would be excellent.

Looking forward to your reply!

Thanks.

I know about this issue, but it’s a side effect of optimization. When the plugin adds a new post it checks is the images are already exist on the server. If so, the post uses the locally stored ones and do not generate the duplicates to decrease the HDD usage. So when the post is being deleted, the images are being deleted too because they are attached to that post. I’m thinking on how to deal with it, but to be honest, I still haven’t found a good solution for that…

Could you please tell me how you’ve got 60 dupes? Normally CyberSEO does not generate them. Do you use “auto” mode or a server cron to pull the feeds? Also do you set the plugin to check for duplicates using both GUID’s and titles?

Firstly, thanks for the fast reply. I’m essentially using this tool to clone posts from websites and spin the content for each post to make authority websites for a PBN I’m building.

I used to employ a few writers but it’s costly when you want thousands of articles.. just trying your plugin as an alternative.

In the default settings it’s set for “GUID and title”.

You should use the cron mode instead of “auto”. It will prevent accidental duplicates. Also when you remove duplicated posts, make sure to delete both the original one and its duplicate. In the case the post will be re-published when you will pull the feed for the next time and the images will be regenerated too.
