You can’t prevent it from pulling more than {x} feeds at once, but you can prevent it from pulling more than {n} posts from a feed. If you don’t want more than one feed to be pulled at once, you should shuffle their update periods (there’s a special button in Syndicator for this), so that they don’t trigger at the same time by the scheduler.
