I am importing an rss feed that includes an image jpg as an enclosure. The image imports fine as a featured image. I need to add the photo credit to that image, which I understand gets saved under post excerpt (featured images is just another post). I m creating the rss to import into wordpress so I have full flexibility to add a custom tag to pass the credit info into the excerpt field of the featured image. Can you let me know how to do that?

I created a tag on my rss feed called but this tag did not import, neither on the post article excerpt field or the linked image post excerpt field
Then I added %xml_tags[post_excerpt]% to my Post Excerpt box and the text showed up in the article excerpt field but not the post excerpt box (caption box for images), which is where I need it.
Any hints? Thanks

I don’t understand what you mean on “post excerpt” and “article excerpt”. There is one excerpt box in the WordPress editor.

I need to populate the caption field related to the featured photo. I can import a featured photo using the enclosures tag, but I need to add the caption info associated to the deatured photo as viewed in this link: Login to see this link

And how exactly to want to define the featured image caption? I mean where the plugin should take a text for it?

In my case, I am very flexible because I am generating the rss/xml feed from a different system so I can just create a custom tag inside the item tag that would have the photo caption and the photo credit. I was hoping that in a similar way that you can import data into custom fields, that you could “link” in some way my custom field with the caption field in the featured photo.

Ok, I’ll think on how to implement this feature, but it would require some changes in CyberSEO. BTW, CyberSEO also allows you to generate your own custom tags in the RSS feed of your site. To enable this function, simple add the following variable to your feed’s URL:
custom_tags=custom_field_name1[,custom_field_name1,…]
For example, if your WordPress posts have views and thumb custom fields, you can display them as tags in the RSS feed using this URL:
http://www.myblog.com/feed/?custom_tags=views,thumb
