Hi,

I’ve been checking the access.log for my site and noticed that the “makefulltextfeed.php” gets called twice with every page load, once with HEAD and another with GET. I’m using the cron job for the RSS pulls so I don’t understand why this script gets called all the time.

I had been flooded with requests from an IP address and it got worse with the constant loading of “makefulltextfeed.php” because I kept going in circles thinking the issue was with the CybeSEO plugin.

Right now it isn’t affecting the performance but it is an inconvenience when trying to read the logs.

When it’s being called with HEAD, the plugin just checks if the file exists and it could use it. The HEAD request doesn’t load your server and doesn’t use its resources, because it’s empty and the script parser doesn’t run. It just says: “I’m here” and quits the process.

EDIT: I’ve checked the code and found a way to avoid the additional request. Even if, as I said above, it doesn’t it doesn’t consume any server resources.

P.S. Have you tried the recently integrated the OpenAI’s ChatGPT feature already?

Thank you.

That would be great, and yes, I have mentioned that it didn’t affect the performance. It would help troubleshooting future issues because right now my access log has 2 extra “makefulltextfeed.php” rows for every page load row. At some point I was thinking that it was being called from an external site to use my server resources, but then noticed it was my IP, which confused me more as I didn’t understand what it was doing.

I haven’t tried it out yet, but it looks exciting.

Those that tried it are literally shocked by its capabilities. It’s like they’ve got an absolutely different plugin. But please make sure to read the manual here: Login to see this link

It has some real-life assignment examples that will help you understand ChatGPT better.
