Been using this plug-in for a week, and although it is working just fine, we've noticed a recurring problem with existing posts that were created without using this plugin (directly created by us before and after activating this plug-in, and not sourced from any RSS feeds). What's happening is that images that were previously included within the body of a number of posts are no longer visible. It's as though this plugin has applied certain MEDIA HANDLING settings (e.g. Do not insert attachments, Do not create Post thumbnails, etc.). to ALL of our existing posts. Help!

1. When viewing the post (from the admin backend and user front end), we can tell that there is an image present within each post (a large space is still allocated), but the image isn't visible. When we attempt to attempt to add the image back (from our Media library), it still isn't visible, which means when then have to upload a new copy of the existing (missing) image to fix the problem.
2. They disappeared from existing posts AFTER we activated your plug-in, so we've now had to deactivate your plugin and fix all the missing images.
It seems that the image is being hidden in the CyberSEO Pro General Settings: https://www.cyberseo.net/general-settings/#post-images

This option has a temporary effect. It does not affect the content of the post in the database, but the behavior of your WP theme when enabled. Please read the documentation: https://www.cyberseo.net/general-settings/#post-images
Here is a quote:
Enable this option to dynamically show or hide images when displaying a post. This is a runtime option that affects all posts on your site, whether they were created by CyberSEO Pro or not. The effect is immediate when the option is enabled and disappears immediately when it is disabled.
This setting can be useful, for example, to hide the first post image if it is the same as the featured image. It can also help solve the “duplicate image” problem described here.
-
- show all images – Displays all images in all posts.
- hide first image – Hides only the first image in each post.
- hide all images but post thumbnail – Hides all images in all posts, leaving only the featured image visible.
- hide post thumbnail – Hides the featured image but keeps other images in the post visible.
- show all images – Displays all images in all posts.

Thank you - we've reactivated your Plugin and have set the General Setting to • show all images, but the images missing in all posts on our site are still missing. 3 Examples of of many posts created PRIOR to installing and activating your plug-in that are still missing the images:
The images missing above are visible in our Media Library, but remain invisible when we attempt to re-insert them into each post. Which means we need to upload a brand new image to replace the missing (invisible) ones...
Help!
It seems the images just don't exist at your server. E.g.: https://www.bizcatalyst360.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Notes-to-Self-by-Mark-OBrien.jpeg
They appear to have been removed. Make sure you haven't changed the default settings for the Keep downloaded images option. It is enabled (checked) by default.

ALL of the images still exist in our Media Library, but somehow your plug-in has rendered them invisible when it comes to inserting them into a post. The default setting for Keep downloaded images is indeed. enabled. Very disappointing, as dozens upon dozens of pre-existing (prior to activation of your plug-in) posts/images have been impacted and it would appear as though our only option is to upload a new image for each, a very time-consuming process.
CyberSEO Pro does not render anything. Your WP theme does. The plugin just adds posts to your database and that's all it does. So if the Post Images option is set to "show all images", it doesn't affect anything - you can enable or disable the plugin and it won't affect how the post images are displayed in your browser.
By the way, the Morphing RSS Host Mode option must also be disabled.

If the images have disappeared from your server, it is definitely because the Keep downloaded images feature was inadvertently disabled when you changed the default settings. The documentation explicitly warns you of this possibility.
Based on what I see, that’s exactly what happened with this image, which should be present in one of your posts: https://www.bizcatalyst360.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Notes-to-Self-by-Mark-OBrien.jpeg
We are currently considering removing the Keep downloaded images option altogether because, unfortunately, some users don't read the documentation before changing the default settings. The plugin is called Pro for a reason – it offers extensive functionality to accommodate various autoblogging strategies. But if you adjust settings without fully understanding their impact, the outcome may be technically predictable yet completely unexpected.

You may be correct in term of Keep downloaded images feature being inadvertently disabled. It seems to us that ANY features that impact pre-existing posts/images should be highlighted within your Manual/Instructions in RED with some form of warning, as new users (like us) can easily miss the severity/impact of the issue – particularly given that the adverse impact and length of time it will take us to recover from such an oversight...
Thanks for the feedback. The impact of the Keep downloaded images setting is actually highlighted in the documentation with a warning icon and a clear explanation of what happens if it's turned off. However, I understand how easy it is to overlook such details, especially for new users.
That said, the situation you're experiencing is quite rare. Normally, the Login to see this link hook is only triggered when a post is actually deleted. However, some plugins and themes may erroneously trigger this hook without actually removing the post, causing the plugin to delete associated media files as if the post had been permanently deleted. This is not standard WordPress behavior, and typically indicates that a third-party plugin or theme is not handling the before_delete_post hook correctly.
We're considering ways to make critical settings like this more prominent, both in the documentation and in the plugin interface itself, to prevent similar issues in the future.
