Hi,
Today I started noticing duplicate posts which I tracked down to 3 RSS feeds. All other feeds work fine.
I haven’t made any recent changes to those feeds.
Any idea what may be going wrong?

Just to add, non of them have any PHP code or get parsed to AI, so the titles are identical in the duplicates.
Also, like all my other feeds, they’re set to check for duplicates by Title and GUID.

Perhaps a some side effect of the optimization to reduce unnecessary calls to Full-Text RSS, OpenAI and Article Forge services. Please export one of these problematic feeds info a file and send it to me at Login to see this link
I have to see all the settings to find the cause.
Also tell me if you are using cron and what’s your max PHP execution time value?

Ok, done. I exported the 3 affected feeds and sent them over to you.
BTW, “https://feed.podbean.com/ehealthradio/feed.xml” only duplicates the latest item.
I’m using cron and have the PHP execution time to 150 (I know you recommend it to be longer but I reduced it when I was having server issues and didn’t need to set it back to a higher number).
I get the issue whether on cron or by manually pulling the selected feeds. When manually pulling the feeds there was no timeout.

I didn’t receive your email, but I found the problem and working on it. It was deeper than just an optimization thing.

I’ve made a quick fix, so not the duplicate check works the same way as before. Please make sure to update your copy of the plugin.
However I found out that the GUID only check doesn’t work correctly with some feeds, that have no http(s) links in their GUID’s. Some have just a random number etc. So WordPress feeds are ok, but with custom ones could be a problem. I’m going to totally redo the GUID check to make it rely on the post source link instead.

Hello, I am also having an issue with duplicate posts – it seems like it’s mostly from Facebook feeds and intermittent. I switched to using a cron pull and updated the plug-in to the latest version. Do you want me to send an email with feed details? Also, would it be possible to add an option to change post status in the duplicate post finder tool instead of only a delete option? I have my site setup so media is deleted upon post deletion so I can’t use the tool easily without deleting the media from the non duplicate post. I am manually going in to change duplicate post status to draft as I see them occur. Thank you!!

Please email me with that Facebook feed setting, because the test Facebook feed at my site doesn’t generate any duplicates.
As about the status changing button, I added your suggestion to the TODO list.
