Though our RSS feed provides our featured images as "media:content", the imported articles have no associated images. Am I missing some setting? 

Login to see this link is feeding Login to see this link, you can see the most recent articles have no images (the ones with images were created via a backup of the production site). confused

There is a special "Media attachments" dropbox in feed setting. Just select "Insert attachments at the top of the post" or "Insert attachments at the bottom of the post" and pull the feed.
