Here's the feed I'm working with... Login to see this link

I need the categories of the articles to be pulled from the feed. I see that I can set the categories manually in the plugin, and I also have the setting "Create new categories defined in syndicating post" (screenshot of the settings: Screen-Shot-2022-03-03-at-4.06.46-PM.pngbut the articles only post to the category I have manually selected instead of getting it from the feed. When I have no category selected, they post to Uncategorized. Any help would be much appreciated!

According to the Login to see this link, the <category> element specifies one or more categories the channel or item belongs to. The <category> element can also specify the hierarchic location in a category (the value of the <category> element is then a forward-slash separated string).
 
E.g.:

But in your feed the categories are specified in some strange manner:

These attributes can no be generated automatically, because they are defined in some non-standard way, which doesn't follow the RSS standards. Thus the only way to get the categories is to use a custom PHP code snippet, which will parse the <category> attributes for a desired name, such as "team", "league", "sport" etc.
