I am trying to learn how to use the image generation features in CyberSEO.

I have set up a CyberSEO feed which gets content from an Inoreader feed which I curate. I Use ChatGPT to create tie title, description and content. It works well!

But I want to have a post image which is in widescreen (16:9) format, preferably 1792*1024 pixels.

I am using the “Media enrichment” feature and the Dall-e model, and store it in the “thumbs” custom field.

It seems it is only possible to get square images.

Is there a method I can use to get custom images sizes and store it in the thumb field?

You say that you use the “Media enrichment” menu to generate the images. There you can select DALL-E 3, which is able to generate not only square, but also 1024×1792 portrait and 1792×1024 landscape image sizes.

Aaaah! I did not realize that the drop down for the sizes changed when changing model. Anyway, it works exactly as needed. Thanks!

You are welcome. These models generate quite distinct fixed image sets. The old DALL-E 2 model could generate three different image sizes, but they were all square. Only DALL-E 3 can generate images in landscape and portrait orientations.

The Dall-e 3 generation seems to work fine.

But – I am getting images in PNG format at 5 MB. I though Dalle 3 was recently changed to only deliver webp format.

Do you know of a way to force WEBP images? If not, is there a plugin which can automatically convert large PNG images to WEBP?

According to the Login to see this link, there is no way to set the image format. It is returned as a Base64 encoded JSON object in PNG format. I don’t see any mention of WEBP in their documentation.

How exactly do you generate these images? I mean via shortcodes using the “Media enrichment” form? Theoretically the plugin is able to convert the generated images to other formats, but it will require a special user interface with these settings.

There are special plugins on WordPress.org that automatically convert images from your media library to WEBP, but I haven’t found any that work perfectly… So your suggestion will be considered as a new feature to be implemented in CyberSEO Pro in the future.

Thanks! I am testing out a plugin called “Converter for Media” which seems to do the trick for now.
