Thanks for looking into it. That actually explains the issue.
Unfortunately, the Linux version of YT-DLP currently provided by the developers is not truly standalone. It's wrapped using StaticX, which attempts to unpack and run from a temporary /tmp folder. This fails in many shared hosting environments due to execution restrictions.
Currently, unless your server allows binaries to run from the /tmp folder, there is no workaround we can offer. YT-DLP does not currently provide a compatible alternative.
We're monitoring the situation and will update the plugin as soon as the official yt-dlp project releases a Linux binary that works everywhere. Until then, YouTube transcript import may not work on some shared hosts - sorry for the inconvenience.

It's not working for me either now - since yesterday no videos have been added.

It seems that CyberSEO runs the API scripts so I am paying for using the Claude API even though the posts will not be added.
Is there any way to check if the transcript is actually found or not? Or is the safest option now to simply not use transcripts?
(I'm not in a shared environment, my sites are hosted on a managed VPS server).

OK, I tried your suggested shell command and got the following response:

It seems something may have changed on my server since yesterday. Since it is managed, there is no SUDO access so I can't change the exec status for the /tmp.
I am in touch with my host to see if they can help.
We have made additional changes to cover as many different server configurations as possible, and also added additional logging during the transcript extractor operation. Please update the plugin core manually - click the "Update plugin core" button twice to update the core itself, and then to re-install the yt-dlp utility.
Just to clarify, here's how it works now.
For Windows and macOS servers, transcript extraction uses a native precompiled binary, so no Python is required.
On Linux servers, the Python-based version is tried first (which requires Python 3.9+). If that version is available, it should work reliably on virtually any Linux system.
If Python 3.9+ is not installed, the plugin falls back to using a native Linux binary version of yt-dlp, which works without Python. However, this fallback method might fail on some shared hosts due to statix-related issues or restrictions on the /tmp directory.
So, if your site is on a shared hosting server, make sure that Python 3.9 or a later version is installed - that way everything will work smoothly without any issues.
