Hi - how to create more fun with post titles?

right now i use: 

$post['post_title'] = ucfirst($post['post_title']);

I I would like to add some more fun other cutom field

for example

$post['post_title'] = ucfirst($post['post_title']-['other_custom_field');

i'm on the good way? tnx.
